My name is Nur Qolimah. I am 15 years old. I’m studying at Rohingya Education Centre Secondary School in Kuantan. I like to read books in my free time and I love mathematics. My ambition is to become a Mathematics teacher.

My inspiration and role-model is Prophet Muhammad ﷺ because he used to always deal with people with good manners and set a very good example for others to follow. I want to be like this as a teacher when I grow up.

I hope that in the future, we are able to peacefully return to our home in Arakan. I want to help and teach all the small children there who did not get an opportunity to learn. I want to return the favor of my teachers who have been working hard in guiding me to be useful to the community. I want to be a woman who is strong, courageous, brave, pious and obedient to the command of Allah no matter where I am. InsyaAllah, I will do my best to make my dream come true.

Qolimah is currently enrolled and attending Form 1 at Rohingya Education Centre (REC), Kuantan. She is 15 years old and was born in Myanmar.

Including Qolimah, there are 7 members in her family. She is the eldest among her siblings. Her father works as a construction worker. Recently, he fractured his wrist which put a huge dent in the family income.

In Burma, the military destroyed her home. Her father came to Malaysia alone and the family was able to reunite with him after 4 years of separation

Funds will be used to cover the fees for her Education at Rohingya Education Centre (REC). The funds will also provide him the required basic amenities. Your donations to this campaign today might see Qolimah become a teacher and a source of empowerment to many more young children. What a worthy investment that is!
