Campaign Story

This is Phase 05 of our Quran Waqf Project. Thanks to all our donors, in Phase 01 alone, the team in Makkah was able to place 370 copies of the Quran in Masjid al-Haram in the blessed city of Makkah in the blessed month of Muharram and 650 copies in December.

Scholars for centuries have mentioned how good deeds are multiplied manyfold in Masjid al-Haram. One of the ways that the visitors to Masjid al-Haram try and multiply their rewards is by gifting a copy of the Quran to be placed for the worshippers to read in Masjid al-Haram. Every time that someone reads from your gifted copy, you get a reward for that, and that reward is further multiplied because of the blessed location in which it is kept. 

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, 'Whoever recites a letter from the Book of Allah, he will be credited with a good deed, and a good deed gets a ten-fold reward. I do not say that Alif-Lam-Mim is one letter, but Alif is a letter, Lam is a letter and Mim is a letter.' [Tirmidhi] The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, “Whoever guides someone to goodness will have a reward like one who did it.” [Muslim] 

Through our partners, Dawah Corner Bookstore (DCB) who are working in cooperation with the Official Mushaf Management body of Masjid al-Haram, our donors have the unique opportunity to gift a Quran as a waqf to be placed inside Masjid al-Haram. It needs to be noted that not just any random copy of the Quran can be placed in the blessed Masjid. It needs to follow certain rules, protocols and seals of approval. Many visitors buy copies of the Quran at the gates of the Masjid to be placed inside, but they don't know that they are later removed by the Masjid authorities. The copies of the Quran gifted through this campaign will go though the official channels and will have all the proper seals of waqf to be placed in the Blessed Masjid.
