  • Sister reverted to Islam and her daughters soon followed her in accepting Islam.
  • Her husband was not faithful in marriage, abusive, and was consulting magicians.
  • She took divorce and custody through court but the legal charges were very high.
  • She has managed to pay around 70% of the huge fees. She also has 3 months’ rent overdue.
  • She is unable to pay the remaining amount (RM 15,760) and has started receiving legal notices from the lawyer’s office.
  • She is being threatened with jail time and the selling of her assets to recover the remaining amount.
  • She has paid 70% of the dues but still has to pay off RM 15,760.
  • We want to add another RM 2,000 to support her while she stabilises her life.

The Campaign Overview

In 2021, a woman in Gaborone embraced Islam, and soon after, her two daughters also followed her footsteps into the faith. But her journey was far from easy. Her husband not only rejected Islam, but also became abusive—physically and emotionally. He was unfaithful, and even turned to magicians, making the home a place of harm instead of safety.

This sister could not remain in such an environment. With courage, she sought a divorce and fought for custody of her daughters. By Allah’s mercy, she won both. But the cost of freedom came with an unbearable financial burden—massive legal fees, along with overdue rent.

Despite the immense hardship of raising two children alone, she has managed to pay 70% of the fees. She often went without food, struggling to balance daily survival and debt repayment. Now, RM 15,760 still remains, and the lawyers’ office has begun sending legal notices. They are threatening prison or the sale of her few assets.

If she is jailed, her daughters will be left without their mother. If her home is taken, they will be homeless. This is the heavy price she must pay simply for leaving an abusive marriage and protecting her faith.

With our help, she can preserve her dignity, keep her children safe, and rebuild her life with stability.

Who are the Beneficiaries

  • A revert sister who bravely left an abusive marriage for the sake of her faith and dignity.
  • Her two young daughters, who rely on their mother for protection, care, and a stable home.

What the Funds Will Be Used For

  • RM 15,760 to settle her remaining debt with the lawyer and pay overdue rent.
  • An additional RM 2,000 as a small cushion to help her stabilize while An-Nadaa arranges employment or a business opportunity for her.
  • Your contribution will directly help her clear this debt, avoid imprisonment, and secure a roof over her children’s heads.
