Campaign Story

The Israeli occupation aims to control all resources of Al-Quds in order to prevent Palestinian citizens from the natural right of their land and properties. The occupation actively prevents Palestinians and worshippers from access to Masjid al-Aqsa. They enforce systematic Judaization plans whether by daily storming into the holy masjid or temporal and spatial division plans. The occupational forces enforce systematic restrictions and forceful persecution and exclusion of worshipers and prevent religious and cultural activities in Al-Aqsa yards. 

The Israeli forces attempt to obliterate the Islamic identity by preventing Quran classes inside Masjid al-Aqsa. This initiative will help support the presence of Islamic teachers and circles of learning in the courtyards of Masjid al-Aqsa. Most of the teachers in these circles are in dire need of financial support and find it very difficult to get by. Out of their good faith and not wanting to take charity, many of the teachers continue to teach for free. This campaign will sponsor and cover the expenses of the memorization groups including the teachers' allowance, gifts, stationery, and meals for those involved. We aim to sponsor 110 Quran circles in Masjid al-Aqsa for one year. A monthly stipend or reward for each Quran teacher worth $150 monthly will be given.

The students in these circles will be encouraged to memorize two and a half parts (juzz') per month. For every word that the children memorize, the supporters of this campaign get rewards as well as they were the ones to facilitate this gathering of the Quran. The Prophet ﷺ said, “Whoever guides someone to goodness will have a reward like one who did it.” and 'Whoever teaches a verse from the Book of Allah, he will have its reward whenever it is recited thereafter.”

The Qur’an sessions for the elderly will be from the Dhuhr prayer until the Asr prayer and from the Fajr prayer until sunrise. Memorization sessions for children will be held between Asr and Maghrib prayers.

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Whoever relieves a Muslim of a burden from the burdens of the world, Allah will relieve him of a burden from the burdens on the Day of Judgement. And whoever helps ease the difficulty in the world, Allah will grant him ease from a difficulty in the world and in the Hereafter.” [Tirmidhi]
