Key Points:

  • This campaign is Zakat-eligible. An official receipt from the state religious authority of Perlis can be produced upon request.
  • Under the Jalinan Kasih initiative, 200 - 300 packs of food packs are given out daily to the needy, Muslims and non-Muslims alike.
  • IIDAC also runs street dawah programmes, mosque tours, skills training for reverts and more community-centred activities.
  • This is the second phase of the 'Striking a bond of love through food: Jalinan Kasih campaign'
The Campaign:

Imagine this:

You’re wandering the streets of Kota Bharu, Malaysia, a place filled with the hum of life. But hidden amidst the bustle are untold stories—families going to bed hungry, tourists stranded with no one to turn to, and reverts struggling to hold onto hope.
Now, imagine this:

A small team with big hearts steps in, ready to change everything. They hand out warm meals to anyone in need—Muslims and non-Muslims alike. But they don’t stop there. Every food pack offers a gentle reminder of Allah’s love, a message that nourishes not just the body but the soul.

This is Jalinan Kasih—the Bond of Love—an initiative of the International Islamic Information and Daawah Center (IIDAC) that has touched lives since 2002. And today, they need your support to keep going.

In Phase 1 of this campaign, with Allah’s blessings and your generosity, we successfully raised MYR 60,887, providing critical support to countless families, those who are in need, Muslims and non-Muslims. Yet, the mission is far from over. With many more lives to touch and needs to meet, we are launching Phase 2 of Jalinan Kasih, setting a target of MYR 100,000 to continue this vital work.
Why This Campaign?

  • A Daily Lifeline of Love and Unity: IIDAC provides 200–300 food packs every day in Kota Bharu to those who need it most—orphans, struggling families, the homeless, and even stranded tourists. Their approach transcends religion, offering aid to anyone in need.
  • Dawah Beyond Words: Every meal distributed comes with a heartfelt reminder about life, gratitude, and Allah’s mercy. It’s dawah in action—sharing Islam’s universal message of kindness and unity in the most relatable way.
  • Empowering Reverts and Strengthening Communities: Through skills training for reverts, mosque tours, and street dawah programs, IIDAC helps new Muslims navigate their faith journey while strengthening the bonds of the local community.
  • A Founder’s Legacy of Faith: Founded by Muhammad Michael bin Abdullah, a revert to Islam, IIDAC reflects his life’s mission: to share the beauty of Islam with sincerity and compassion. His vision has transformed the organization into a beacon of hope for all.
  • A Global Message of Compassion: Though based in Malaysia, IIDAC embodies Islam’s global message of mercy. Their work is a reminder that a single act of kindness—whether a meal, a smile, or a kind word—can ripple across borders and change lives
Today, you have the chance to bring light into someone’s life, food for the body and soul. Will you?

HASAN.VC was founded by Muslim entrepreneurs who understand the journey of building startups from the ground up. Having faced the challenges of limited resources, lack of community, and a disconnect between traditional investors and the needs of entrepreneurs, we set out to create a VC firm built by founders, for founders.

Our approach is simple: we invest in the people behind the ideas. Beyond financial backing, we bring decades of experience and relevant relationships coupled with our entrepreneurial DNA to guide and empower startups to achieve long-term, sustainable success. This philosophy has given rise to what we call camel startups - resilient businesses built to withstand challenges and emerge stronger.
