Campaign Story
Enhance your Eid al-Adha experience by joining our Qurbani program, which aims to bring joy and fresh meat to impoverished Muslims in Bihar and West Bengal, India. These states, home to significant M uslim populations, face severe economic hardships, with over 90% of their residents living in poverty and relying on aid from abroad. By participating in our program, you can ensure that these communities receive the essential nourishment they need during this blessed time. Unlike many other Indian states, Bihar and West Bengal permit the consumption of beef by Muslims.
Iltizam Relief Society invites generous Muslims to make a difference by contributing to our Qurbani initiative. For as little as MYR 390 (USD 83), you can offer a 1/7 share of a cow, providing more fresh meat than a goat would and making a substantial impact on the lives of those in need. In our last Qurbani, we provided 31 cows, but this wasn't enough to feed all the impoverished families, particularly single mothers with orphaned children. This year, we aim to offer at least 60 cows, ensuring a more significant reach and impact.
Your contributions will directly benefit poor families in Krishnaganj (Bihar) and Uttar Dinajpur (West Bengal). Our goal is to distribute Qurbani meat to at least 1,000 families, making Eid al-Adha truly meaningful for them. While logistical challenges exist, such as the need to transport premium-sized cows from other states, your support is crucial. Even if you can't contribute a full 1/7 share, any amount will help cover operational expenses. Let's unite to bring joy and sustenance to our brothers and sisters, making this Eid al-Adha a celebration of compassion and solidarity.
