Campaign Story

The Japan Islamic Trust (JIT) is an active religious organization in Japan, actively serving the Muslim and Japanese community for decades. Japanese media have recognized JIT's activities as showing the best image of Islam to Japanese society.

The Japan Islamic Trust established the International Islamic School in 2017 with only 6 students. The school has 120 students enrolled at our schools (kindergarten, primary, and Junior high school). The number is increasing yearly, and our school is becoming more popular in Tokyo and around it.

Since 2017, the International Islamic School - Otsuka has been renting a two-story building in the heart of Tokyo, where the rent is extremely expensive. Alhamdulilah, the number of students is increasing every year with the awareness of Muslim parents about the school's dedication to saving Muslim children's identity while providing high-quality Islamic knowledge and an international curriculum. The school had to purchase their school building to have the facility to serve the students well.

The building found for the school is very convenient for all school programs. It has four floors, a wide area to accommodate our classes, and a parking place for school buses.

Alhamdulilah, with the support of donors across the globe, the Trust paid $328,000 for the first instalment of the Islamic school building in February 2021 and the second instalment of $820,000 in December 2021. The school stands in danger of losing all its money as well as the school building if the third instalment of  $820,000 is not paid by the end of August.

School Syllabus

The school teaches the internationally recognized Cambridge curriculum and a tailored Islamic curriculum to ensure children are raised with a sound foundation in Islamic values. The school has further incorporated and designed the curriculum for modern subjects like Robotics, a new edition based on practical solutions to teaching youngsters to use technology responsibly. Islamic studies are compulsory for children of all ages. The curriculum is designed by ICO, one of the leading and specialized organizations providing Arabic and Islamic curricula and other related books.

The school also teaches the Japanese language by native Japanese teachers to prepare the students to interact smoothly with their society. The school also pays great attention to making the teaching process interesting and engaging and helping students build healthy lifestyles with extra-curricular activities.

Importance of This School

Due to a lack of Islamic education in Japan, we are losing our 2nd generation of Muslims in terms of Islamic knowledge, identity, and values.

A mother whose child is enrolled in the school said, 'I married a Japanese, and Allah blessed me with two children. I was ashamed to see my children not accepting my values and refusing to pray or fast. I felt so depressed until I knew about International Islamiya School Otsuka (IISO). I moved them to the school and, Alhamdulillah, now they are good practising Muslims with many friends around them.'

The school aspires towards:

1. Saving the identity of Muslim children in Japan and connecting them to become an active part of the Ummah.

2. Serving as a facility to teach Islamic studies with international education to help Muslim children succeed in this world and hereafter.

3. Providing an affordable, high-quality education for all. About 40% of our students receive scholarships because they belong to low-income families.

The objective of the school is not business but rather for establishing a Waqf that will serve generations of children to come.

Donations to this campaign will help purchase the building for International Islamia School Otsuka (IISO)-Tokyo. Start with just RM100 and invite your friends and family to help in this amazing sadaqah jariyah opportunity. Donate now to save a school that will serve and educate Muslim children in Japan for generations to come.
