Campaign Story

Occupation forces are brutalising Palestinians and carrying out ethnic cleansing across larger parts of Jerusalem, West Bank, and Gaza. At least 220 Palestinians, including 63 children, have been killed in Gaza since the latest attacks on May 10. About 1,500 Palestinians have been wounded.

50 schools in Gaza have been damaged by air raids over the past week, according to Save the Children, impacting a total of 41,897 children. The Israeli military dropped 122 bombs on Gaza during a 25 minute period on 18 May.

Border police and forces attacked the Palestinians using skunk water, tear gas, rubber-coated bullets and shock grenades. Dozens of Palestinians have been arrested. Palestinian families said that the tear gas they were attacked with had become so thick it had penetrated their living spaces. “We can’t breathe in our homes from the tear gas getting in,” one resident said.

The Palestinian residents are being replaced with settlers as soldiers vacate the Palestinian property by force in neighbourhoods like Sheikh Jarrah.

Not just in Sheikh Jarrah, the occupation has viciously forced tens of families in occupied Jerusalem to leave their homes. The latest evictions come as Jerusalem has seen heightened tensions in recent weeks, with far-right Israelis staging marches, calling for “Death to Arabs” amid longstanding efforts by authorities to expand settlements – which are considered illegal under international law – in East Jerusalem. Since the start of last year, Israeli courts have ordered the eviction of 13 Palestinian families in Sheikh Jarrah which is strategically just less than a kilometre away from the walls of the Old City of Jerusalem.

Donations to this campaign will provide emergency aid, food parcels, first aid, medical equipment,  temporary accommodations to the displaced residents in Jerusalem. Donations will also be used to help renovate the houses in the nearby neighbourhood that were attacked and harmed by the occupying forces.

A person came to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and said: Messenger of Allah, what do you think if a man comes to me in order to appropriate my possession? He (Prophet) said: Don’t surrender your possession to him. He (the inquirer) said: If he fights me? He (the Prophet) remarked: Then fight (with him). He (the inquirer) again said: What do you think if I am killed? He (the Prophet) observed: You would be a martyr. He (the inquirer) said: What do you think of him (Messenger of Allah) If I kill him. He (the Holy Prophet) said: he would be in the Fire. [Muslim]
