This campaign is Funded!
Masjid Abu Bakar Ash-Shiddiq is the main community center in Kampung Islami Thoyibah and other surrounding residential areas such as Taman Madinah and Taman Rahmani. It is the only masjid available in the radius of 5 kms. Despite the masjid being partially constructed, the local community is very attached to their upcoming Masjid and have made it a point to pray their 5 times congregational daily prayers there.
Alhamdulilah it has been an honour to have our donors throughout this journey. With your help and support, GlobalSadaqah has managed to:
Phase 1: Relaunch the construction work of the Masjid, as can be seen here.
Phase 2: Male and Female Wudhu Sections, as can be seen here.
Phase 3: Installing a Minbar, as can be seen here.
Based on the reports of the team on the ground, we are now moving forward to Phase 4 which is to install the doors and windows for the main building.
Join us in facilitating a secure space for worshipers. Most importantly, aim for a continuous reward of Sadaqah by Allah for the utilization of the masjid by the community.
A community that is united prospers in many aspects. Nothing unites a Muslim community more than their 5 daily congregational prayers in a masjid as it creates a sense of belonging and togetherness in the community.
A masjid does not only act as a place for worship, it also plays a role as a community centre which brings the residents together to learn and grow as a unit. In addition, a masjid serves as a platform to pass on the beautiful teachings of Islam to the young and new learners and a place for joyous occasions and celebrations.
For every good and authentic practice that the people learn about, our donors will share in the reward for helping to facilitate it.
Standing together for the daily prayers teaches us to unite in obeying the commands of Allah, putting aside petty differences and to stand firm. Standing shoulder to shoulder, rich and poor with the strong and weak together promotes a sense of belonging and a strong kinship in a community. All of this and much more can be achieved with helping complete the of Masjid Abu Bakar Ash-Shiddiq.
We believe that an uplifting environment will empower and inspire these low-income families to overcome the difficulties and poverty. Most importantly, the place they will call home would be a safe and conducive place for the upbringing of their children.
The building of a masjid is a way for a person to continue to earn a multitude of blessings even after death. How?
Abu Hurairah reported: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “When a man dies, his deeds come to an end except for three things: Sadaqah Jariyah (ceaseless charity); a knowledge which is beneficial, or a virtuous descendant who prays for him (for the deceased).” [Muslim].
By helping establish this Masjid, our donors have the unique opportunity for being of the very first people to help their Muslim brothers and sisters directly on the ground in Indonesia. For every prostration and beneficial knowledge gained by the people, the donors of the Masjid get an equivalent reward.
It’s not just about the quantity of the donation. The main aim is the quality of our donations and being a part of establishing a House of Allah.
