Providing A Safe and Fast Entry Into Singapore Mosques

In early 2020 when COVID-19 pandemic struck, all Mosques were closed and congregation prayers ceased to prevent the spread of the virus. As the situation gets more in control, mosques in Singapore are slowly opening their doors to welcome congregants back but with many safety and tracking procedures in place.
People wanting to attend the mosque had to stand in long queues to fill up registration forms before being allowed in. Practicing social distancing would be difficult in such a situation especially if people are rushing to enter. That is when MobiStudios noted the need to develop the SafeSentry 4-In-1 Self-Service Registration Kiosk to help Mosques to speed up the government’s COVID-19 Safe Entry registration requirement. Knowing that mosques are not doing well financially as well, MobiStudios took up the initiative of providing the kiosks to different mosques first and then get the payment later.
As of now, kiosks have been installed in Pasir Ris, Paya Lebar and Changi among other locations. With the lockdown being eased further, larger congregations are expected especially for Friday prayers. This calls for a higher need to equip more mosques with these kiosks to aid the mosque authorities as well as returning congregants for a safer visit to the mosque.
In just 30 seconds, the 4-in-1 kiosk can:
- Record User Temperature
- Sanitise Hands
- Scan ID
- Display Important Announcements
In just a matter of 5 minutes, 40 congregants can be easily serviced.
Donations to this campaign will be used to purchase the SafeSentry 4-In-1 Self service kiosk for mosques across Singapore.
