Phase 2: Building Futures: Establishing the First Islamic Center in Taiwan

Campaign Story

Muslims in Taiwan live as a small minority community. While the number of migrant workers, international families, and reverts continues to grow, Islamic infrastructure has not kept pace. There was no permanent Islamic education and Da’wah center with hostel facilities dedicated to nurturing Muslim children and supporting new Muslims in Taiwan. Without strong institutions, Islamic identity in minority contexts becomes fragile. Alhamdulillah, by the will and permission of Allah, a historic milestone has been reached. Al-Hadi Taiwan Islamic Education & Culture Center (TIECC) has successfully secured nearly one acre of land in Sanzhi, Taiwan, for the future of Islamic education and Daʿwah. The project is now undergoing the necessary administrative arrangements and ownership transfer process.

Al-Hadi TIECC began humbly with just five students. Today, it has grown into the first established full-time madrasah in Taiwan, serving more than 40 students daily while conducting Daʿwah activities and providing care and guidance for new Muslims. The newly secured land changes what is possible. For the first time, there is an opportunity to build a permanent Islamic environment dedicated to nurturing a generation that knows Allah.

What We Plan to Build

The vision is to transform the newly secured land into a complete Islamic education and community environment that includes:

• Classrooms for structured Islamic education

• A Masjid for worship and community life

• Dormitories for children and new Muslims

• A dedicated Daʿwah centre

• An animal farm and vegetation area

• Open fields and spaces for educational and community activities

This centre will serve as a place where Muslim children can learn their religion in a structured environment, where new Muslims can find guidance and support, and where the wider community can gather around worship, knowledge, and daʿwah. We are not building a business. We are fulfilling a trust—to nurture a generation that knows Allah.

How the Funds Are Used

With the land now secured and the ownership transfer process underway, the campaign enters its next critical stage: developing the land and building the Islamic Centre itself. The original project budget included:

Every component is necessary to build a safe Islamic home for education and Da’wah.

More Than Land. A Legacy for Generations

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “When a person dies, his deeds come to an end except for three: ongoing charity, beneficial knowledge, or a righteous child who prays for him.” [Muslim] An Islamic Center combines ongoing charity and beneficial knowledge continuously.

Consider what can take place on this land, by the permission of Allah. A child may learn to recite the Qur’an here. A new Muslim may learn how to pray. A student may grow into a teacher who passes knowledge to hundreds more. A family may find the Islamic environment they feared their children would grow up without.
