Campaign Story

The Philippines has a fairly high poverty rate with more than 16% of the population or about 17.6 million people, living below the poverty line. The Philippines is exposed to more natural disasters than any other nation in the world. These disasters, which include typhoons, earthquakes and cyclones, cause horrific devastation and contribute heavily to the high poverty rate in this country. For every 1,000 babies born in the Philippines, 28 die before they turn 5 years old. The COVID-19 crisis has affected all aspects of life in the Philippines but especially food access.

This Eid al-Adha, we aim to put a smile on the face of our poor and needy brothers and sisters in Philippines. The meat is distributed to after careful research and proper verification a list is formed of those who are the most needy families. The preparation of this list is done with a lot of care so that meat reaches those who are really deserving. The meat is distributed to the poor and needy families in Philippines.

The team on the ground will be fulfilling all Islamic principles and requirements as per proper Islamic teachings. By donating to this qurban campaign, our donors have the opportunity to help feed their Muslim brothers and sisters directly on the ground in Philippines. It’s not just about the quantity of the donation. The main aim is the quality of our donations and being a part of circulating good for the sake of Allah.

For these people finding sustenance is a challenge in itself and with their non-existent to meager earnings a good meal (like meat) is a luxury most have rarely experienced.
