What to Expect?

One of the many ways to give back to the ummah is through a waqf—described as an Islamic endowment, it is a permanent dedication by a person for a pious, religious and charitable purpose.  Each year, The Majlis Ugama Islam Singapura (MUIS) disburses net income derived from the waqf properties to various beneficiaries, including mosques, madrasahs, charitable organizations, poor relatives of the wakif, burial services and financial assistance. Want to learn more about waqf, especially in the Singaporean context? Join us next Wednesday for an insightful session that aims to shed light on the state of waqf in Singapore and address common misconceptions that people often associate with waqf in Singapore.
